Anyone can go through the steps to signup and create an account with Empower Network, but it’s making it through those initial few weeks that’s hard. Especially since many people who join are newbies to internet marketing and possibly to blogging as well.

So making it through the first 4 weeks are crucial to your success, because if you can’t get through the first month you’ll never make it for the long haul!

In today’s post, I’m going to lay out some easy to follow steps that I’ve used in my first month with Empower to help you get over the hurdle of your first month.

My goal is to give you some foundational ideas that will help you over the course of your business, and that will help you have the success that you are after.

So lets dive in shall we?!

1. Get Familiar With The 8 Core Steps

Now first off, I know what you’re thinking. That’s not a tip! Everyone has to do this anyway! Well you’re right, they do! The problem is that not everyone actually follows through with it.

You’d be surprised how many people join Empower and never once even take the time to go through the Fast Start training. Then they wonder why they aren’t making any money.

So the very first thing you want to do is to go through each of the 8 videos and follow along with what is laid out in them. You may want to even go through them more than once within your first few weeks. This is so that not only are you familiar with them so that you can put them into practice, but so that you can teach it to your people.

It’s hard to teach a system that you aren’t following yourself.

2. Set Your Goals And Intentions

The saying that “those who fail to plan, plan to fail” is right on the money. Without having some sort of plan in place you are essentially flailing in the wind, and that is not where you want to be.

So you want to know exactly what your intentions are and what it is that you’re hoping to accomplish.

I recommend getting a notebook and actually writing down your goals while concentrating on being as specific as possible. Also be sure to give your goals a time frame. I like to create 30 day, 90 day, and 1 year goals.

3. Create And Follow A Schedule

Planning out your time is also super important to help keep you on track. Plan to set aside an hour or two each day that you are going to dedicate solely to your business. This will be the time that you are going to be writing and syndicating your blog post, marketing your capture page, listening to your inner circle audio, or reading your book.

If you schedule it out ahead of time, it’ll be easier for you to stick to it and actually get things done.

Also make sure that you aren’t distracted during this scheduled work time. That means put the kids in another room, turn off the tv, and close out your email account. Focus only on the task at hand.

4. Get Plugged In

This is a big one! Stay plugged into the community by being on the Monday night Empower Hour Calls (it’s one of your core commitments!). Also be sure to subscribe to Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe’s facebook pages for updates and action assignments to help build your business.

You should also be staying involved in your team if you have one. So if you have a team facebook group or ning community make it a point to stay active. Post comments on teamates blogs, post your response to questions that are asked.

Just stay involved.

5. Stay Consistent

Your first 4 weeks in Empower Network may not produce the life shattering income that you may be expecting, but if you quit you’ll never get there. So the biggest piece of advice I can give is to stay consistent and stick it out.

This means that you should be blogging every single day! It may sound like a lot, but if you’re listening to an audio or reading every day then you should be able to come up with enough stuff to blog about.

Success doesn’t come when you’re practicing hit or miss marketing. It comes from consistent action over time. Therefore the way to be success in Empower Network or anything at all really is to stay consistent with what you are doing.

My Final Advice For Surviving Your First 4 Weeks With Empower Network

Don’t be afraid of not knowing the answer. We all start from the beginning and have to work our way up from there.

So if you find yourself struggling to make it work, just go back to these foundations and recommit.

You may not understand how everything works right off the bat, but if you focus and work at learning as much as you possibly can you’ll reach the level of success your after.

If you’re just starting, then write about where you are now and what you’re hoping to accomplish with Empower.

Your post should be between 500-700 words, and make sure to add an image and to break up the text into small chunks. Makes it easier to read!

3. Share your new blog post

• Use Pingler to ping your new post
• Post it to your Facebook wall
• Email it to your leads
• Use onlywire to bookmark it
• Use Hootsuite to post it to as many fb groups as possible. (Click here to get Hootsuite if you don’t already have it)

4. Add and connect with 5 new people on Facebook

This should be something you do on a daily basis anyways. Go out and add 5 new people to your friends list and shoot them a message saying hello. Don’t show them your website or try to recruit them, simply introduce yourself and start a conversation. Make new friends!
